Sinopsis:
Buku ini mengisahkan tentang pencarian hidup Jenar. Dalam perjalanan untuk menemukan diri itu, Jenar menjumpai berbagai liku-liku. Salah satu momen dalam titik balik kehidupannya adalah peristiwa, keloid. Bekas luka yang menjadi tanda bagi bahwa hidupnya yang tak mudah. Bagi semua orang, hidup memang tak pernah mudah. Book Synopsis:
“Keloid” is a mini-novel that tells about the self-disclosure of a person named Jenar. Biologically, Jenar was born a female. He has organs that are then identified by society with a certain gender. When humans are born, that’s what society does, seeing them based on what appears physically. However, people never know, to Jenar, he has never been a girl. Since he was a child, Jenar always felt that he was a boy.
The contradiction of what Jenar believes with what people believe about his gender is the core of “Keloid” storyline. Throughout the story, the author shows the readers how Jenar deals with this battle. And at a turning point, after going through various revelations and unspeakable sufferings, Jenar manifests himself based on what he believes since then; Jenar embodies his true self.
